Urban Grace is a community church downtown, reorganized April 10, 2005. We developed out of First Baptist Church of New Tacoma, established in 1883. Our church is intentionally urban with a holistic ministry. Many denominational backgrounds are represented, and all ages and races are welcome. As Tacoma’s first ecumenical congregation we serve six Protestant groups. Our participants and members include a wide variety of ages, races, and lifestyles.
Our mission is to advance the Kingdom of God in urban Tacoma using the Bible as our rule of faith and conduct and Christian tradition as a guide. We serve the urban residential, business, education, and arts communities with inspiring worship, Bible and history education, feeding, seminar, and other special events.
